Refund Policy
Purchases made and returned one week or more before class start date, receive a full refund, minus a $20 processing fee.
You and Your Dog is committed to providing the best service for all our clients. We understand that this also requires a commitment on the part of our clients so that we can effectively work together as a team to bring the best possible experience to dogs and their people. While we work hard to accommodate our clients’ schedules, You and Your Dog is unable to offer refunds on small group classes once started.
This is just like any other school, once your class starts that spot is taken and can not be filled.
Group Classes:
Group class, even a small one, can be stressful for some dogs(and humans!). If the trainer determines that group class is not a good fit for your dog the cost of unused lessons can be credited towards a private lesson.
Workshops, also group style, differ slightly:
- If your dog is enrolled in a single workshop and it is determined that they are not a good fit for the format (e.g., safety or behavior concerns), we do not issue a refund for that workshop.
- If you purchased a workshop package and are unable to continue due to trainer-determined incompatibility, you may receive a refund for any unused workshops minus a $20 processing fee.
Private Dog Training:
If the trainer determines the environment and expertise of You and Your Dog Training & Services is not a good fit, a refund of sessions not used will be issued, minus a $20 processing fee.
COVID-19:
Please understand we are still following certain guidelines for COVID-19 safety.
Our tiny business of two has one trainer with an autoimmune disease and the other a very active family member with both very young and very old extended family. Due to this if you are not feeling well or have any symptoms (sneezing, coughing, runny nose etc.) we require that you wear a face mask.
The trainer, Ashley Clark, will continue to wear a face mask indoors until she has clearance from her doctors.
Again, face masks are only required if you are not feeling well or have any symptoms (sneezing, coughing, runny nose etc.) We respect clients choice to wear face masks. If you would like your trainer to wear a face mask we are happy to do so, just let us know.

Rescheduling One-Hour Workshops
Clients may reschedule one-hour workshops using the online calendar link included in their confirmation email, provided the change is made at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled start time. After the 48-hour window, the workshop will count as a lesson used and is non-refundable and non-transferable, unless there is an emergency. In the event of an emergency, please contact us directly to discuss options.
Cancellation/ Rescheduling Private Lessons
We require at least 48 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling a private lesson appointment.
You and Your Dog is committed to providing the best service for all of our clients. We understand that this also requires a commitment on the part of our clients. While we work hard to accommodate our client’s schedules, You and Your Dog is unable to accommodate multiple cancellations, or requests to reschedule, with less than 48 hours’ notice. We understand emergencies and unforeseen illnesses can arise, which is why we offer one (1), free Make Up Lesson for these situations.
However, multiple late cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice, will result in the forfeiture of those appointments and no refunds.
