Dog Training Basics

6 week course   $215

This six week course is an introduction to behaviors we want to have and share with all dogs. The class covers the basics of coming when called, manners on leash, not jumping on people, and introduces foundational life skills such as sit, down, come, etc.

Dog Training Basics Class Requirements: Dogs attending must be comfortable around unknown dogs and people, for dogs 6 months and older with proof of up to date vaccinations, proof of current rabies vaccination (email all vaccinations before your first class), sign/send waivers of liability.

Intermediate Dog Training

6 week course   $215

After completing Dog Training Basics (above) or Puppy Intermediate, this six week course introduces skill sets to gaining more fluency with previous behaviors. For example, your dog may sit and stay in your kitchen, but can they sit and stay while another dog walks by on leash? The other key focus is the introduction of “squirrel distractions.”

New Behaviors: Hand targeting, drop it, place behavior, sit/front.

Class Requirements: Completion of Basics or Puppy Intermediate, dogs attending must be comfortable around unknown dogs and people, for dogs 7 months and older with proof of up to date vaccinations, proof of current rabies vaccination (email all vaccinations before your first class), sign/send waivers of liability.

Outside Dog Training

6 week course   $215

This six week OUTDOOR course continues on skills learned in Intermediate with a focus on building connection with increasing distractions. This course gives you and your dog fun and engaging ways to work towards and past distractions life throws our way!

New Behaviors: Attention Games, Pattern Games, and Thresholds.

Class Requirements: Completion of Intermediate, dogs attending must be comfortable around unknown dogs and people, for dogs 1 year and older with proof of up to date vaccinations, proof of current rabies vaccination (email all vaccinations before your first class), sign/send waivers of liability.

Class spots are limited to 4 dogs and no more than 2 people per dog in attendance. Please read our client commitment, refund policy, and weather cancellation policy!

This class is seasonal and is offered only twice a year.

Advanced Dog Training

6 week course   $215

After passing Intermediate dog training (above), this six week course continues onto higher levels of “Squirrel Distractions.” For example, dog instantly recalls to handler from a piece of steak dangling in front of their nose.

New Behaviors: Precision heeling, adding distance to cues asked, sit or down in motion, calmly sitting on leash while greeting people.

Class Requirements: Completion of Intermediate, dogs attending must be comfortable around unknown dogs and people, for dogs 1 year and older with proof of up to date vaccinations, proof of current rabies vaccination (email all vaccinations before your first class), sign/send waivers of liability.

Complete Dog Training

6 week course   $215

After passing Advanced, this six week course maximizes the real world dog situations. Three of the six classes will take place off-site at highly distracting locations. The key focus is to achieve reward delivery at the end of a highly distracting session. For example, sit or down stay in front of a grocery store on a busy weekend.

New Behaviors: Recalls in parking lots past people and dogs, long duration sit/down stays in highly distracting environments, maintaining manners on leash in the presence of other dogs, maintaining manners on leash while handlers talk to each other (dogs are 6 feet apart during conversation).

Class Requirements: Completion of Advanced, dogs attending must be comfortable around unknown dogs and people, for dogs 1 year and older with proof of up to date vaccinations, proof of current rabies vaccination (email all vaccinations before your first class), sign/send waivers of liability.

Agility

6 week course   $215

This is a six week course that introduces all things fun with Agility. This class introduces the obstacles used in competitive Agility: tunnel, teeter, tire jump, weave poles, dog walk, A-frame, and various jumps. Each class introduces one or two new object(s). While the trainer focuses on the new weekly object with each client, the rest of the class rotates through previously introduced objects. This course benefits all dogs but is especially beneficial for working dog breeds, dogs who are nervous around novelty items, and dogs whose brains need more of a challenge.

Class Requirements: Completion of Basics or Puppy Intermediate group class or permission from the trainer, dogs attending must be comfortable around unknown dogs and people, for dogs 6 months and older* with proof of up to date vaccinations, proof of current rabies vaccination (email all vaccinations before your first class), sign/send waivers of liability.

Class spots are limited to 4 dogs and no more than 2 people per dog in attendance. Please read our client commitment, refund policy, and weather cancellation policy!

*Dogs under one year may participate, but certain obstacles are kept at low heights to prevent stress on still forming joints and growth plates. Senior dogs are also encouraged to attend and modifications are made as needed to respect an aging dog's body requirements.


Canine Good Citizen

6 week course   $215

This six week course is offered twice a year, and prepares dog and handler to pass the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Test. The course covers in detail the requirements and skill sets needed for each part of the test. The test covers 10 points for completion as follows:

1) Accepting a Friendly Stranger

2) Sitting Politely for Petting

3) Appearance and Grooming

4) Out for a Walk (walking on a loose lead)

5) Walking Through a Crowd

6) Sit and Down on Command and Staying in Place

7) Coming when Called

8) Reaction to Another Dog

9) Reaction to Distraction

10) Supervised Three Minute Separation

CCC™

6 week course   $215

The Connection, Cooperation & Control (CCC)™ six week course is founded on the principles of Suzanne Clothier’s Relationship Centered Training™. CCC™ helps you create mutual connection with your dog, while you also develop cheerful cooperation.

Distraction is a common problem for pet owners and professional dog trainers. The CCC™ training system bridges the gap between training at home and in public places to keep the dog engaged and cooperative while the rest of the world happens around him.

The Connection, Cooperation & Control ™ courses focus on the ingredients that create a strong relationship, body language, intent, and teaching dogs how to ask permission before dragging you around. These courses offer the opportunity to train the way real life happens – without a bait bag or treats in the handler’s pocket!

Cooperative Care

 6 week course   $215

Does your dog run away when they see the nail trimmers? Does the idea of brushing your dog give you a headache? Does your dog shake or refuse to go into the vet or groomers? If so, this is the class for you! 

This 6 week class introduces ways to help your dog be more comfortable with common handling, vet care, and grooming, so that is a more enjoyable experience for you both. We will introduce several behaviors and key concepts that will decrease fear, anxiety, and stress associated with handling at home, the vet office, or grooming salon. We will focus on creating familiarity and predictability with common dog care tasks. As you work on these skills, you will build a solid foundation of trust and communication with your dog.

While this class is geared towards dogs who are already sensitive with handling, it is a great class for ALL dogs and puppies. These are invaluable skills that promote the behavioral health and wellbeing of our dogs, while also making your life less stressful.

This class will prepare you to earn your Level 1 Cooperative Care Certificate.

Dog Parkour

 4 week course   $185

This is a four-week course that introduces you to Dog Parkour. Dog Parkour is a sport in which dogs conquer obstacles found in the environment.  It is often called“urban agility,” because we use any objects we can find as obstacles!  In this class, your dog will jump, climb, balance, run,and learn to become more comfortable with new objects. This course benefits all dogs, but is especially beneficial for working dog breeds, dogs who are nervous around novelty items, and dogs whose brains need more of a challenge.

Energy Outlets

 4 week course   $185

This is a four week intensive course that outlines various methods to give our dogs energy outlets without having to run a marathon. Each week focuses on a different style of outlets. This course benefits any young dog, overly active dogs, working style breed, and families and people who want to give their dog more, but may not have the time. If your dog digs, attention barks, excessively chews, or just needs more, this is the class for you.

There are two versions of this class, Summer and Winter.  Each version is tailored to that season, so you will have lots of energy outlets for your dog whether it is hot and sunny, or cold and snowing!

Hiking Manners

 4 week course   $185

Living in New England where outdoor activities are a part of life, we love to take our dogs with us everywhere we go!  Many of us enjoy the outdoors and so do our dogs.  This is a four-week class that teaches you the basics of hiking with your dog and how to practice good trail etiquette with your furry friend.   Classes will be held offsite at local hiking trails in New Boston, Goffstown, Mont Vernon, and/or Bedford.  The location will be emailed to each client the day before class.

Class Requirements: Completion of Basics or Puppy Intermediate group class or permission from the trainer.  Dogs attending must be comfortable around unknown dogs, people, bicycles, and (potentially) horses.  This class is for dogs 6 months and older with proof of up to date vaccinations, proof of current rabies vaccination (email all vaccinations before your first class), sign/send waivers of liability.

Nose Work

6 week course   $215

This is a six week introductory scent work class that fine tunes your dog's natural ability and love for using their nose. Week one begins by introducing the scent of birch building to week six with the scent hidden for your dog to find! This course benefits the young to the very old but is especially beneficial to timid or dogs with excessive energy. Nose work not only burns brain calories (creating a happily tired dog), but also builds confidence.

Precision Heeling

 4 week course   $185

This is a four week intensive that focuses on introducing and fine-tuning the beauty of heeling on leash. This class is appropriate for anyone wanting to get involved in most competitive dog sports, or who wants a dog that can ignore their environment and focus solely on their person. Heeling also functions as an excellent recall and energy outlet.

A Really Truly Reliable Recall

This is a four week intensive that focuses solely on your dog coming when called. For dogs just learning or ones who have stopped listening, all dogs will benefit. The purpose of this course is to introduce the steps needed to create a rock solid recall that both the dog and person enjoy. This is your safety backup for emergencies!

This four week intensive course is for the dog training enthusiasts, dog geeks, and those who want to get out and have fun with their dog. If you are looking to add a little variety to your dog's training, burn brain calories to prevent cabin fever, and learn to think outside of the typical training box then this class is for you!

This course introduces various methods to shape, build, and experiment to give our dogs energy outlets without having to run a marathon. Each week introduces a new training concept whilst also building on ones introduced in previous ones. This course benefits any young dog, overly active dogs, working style breed, and families and people who want to give their dog more.
